 ORIGINS OF TERRORISM IN PERU, WHAT WE THINK?

When two parties have a disagreement it usually ends up in an argue, but when it envoles political parties things can escalate.

Back in the 70s, Peru was going trough a really bad economic crisis. Because of this, a lot of people ended up living in poverty, barely being able to mantain their families. 

The governmet couldn't think of a solution for this issue that could be effectively implemented. When the next election came, one of the candidates had a plan on how to solve the crisis, but it was gonna have a big impact and it would  be hard to adapt to it. Since people were scared of this, who ended up winning the election was Alberto Fujimori who promised to NOT implement that idea, but he did anyway because he also knew that it was the best solution. As expected, this change had a big impact on the population and even though in the long run, it would be beneficial for everyone, at the moment it was making their lifes even more dificult. While this whole thing was happening, there was this one profesor in San Marcos University called  Abimael Guzmán who was a big fan of the Mahoism philosophy and was really good with words. A percentage of his students were strugeling because of the change and by hearing him talk about Mahoism, they yought that they had found a better solution. An so, Abimael convinced his students to fight in order to achieve their ideology. Along the way, some other people who were having a bad time because of the economic changes, this is hiw Sendero Luminoso was formed. According to José Eduardo Ceballos, it is only in appearance a form of political struggle. But it can be the way to express personal psychological complexes, frustrations and resentments that have a social origin. (J. E. Ceballos; p. 6)

Their reasoning was to achieve a better nation, but they intented to do it at the expense of many inoccent lifes.
